The first day with the kids

Hello from the JC's!!!

Today was our first full day as a camp, so we played name games, did icebreakers and learned about the campsite.  It was awesome to spend time with the kids and get to know them better. We had spent the last few days bonding as a leader group and training for the camp, so we were all eager to really get started.

The kids are settling in well, we are all having fun getting to know each other. We did a lot of activities to learn names, get to know basic things about each other and just bond as a camp. To learn about the site, we did a version of ´chinese masters`, where we, the JC`s, and the staffies hid at different places around the camp. The campers travelled in delegations, visiting all the staff and JC`s and learning about the different parts of the campsite.

It was a pretty long busy day so we ended with a couple lullabies, and everyone winded down for a nice long sleep. We are all rested and ready for all the days to come!
