4th of July!

We woke up the whole camp with a song that we sing at the soccer games in Costa Rica, and running and jumping around with our flag.
After flag time and breakfast we went outside for our 1st activity! we did some energizers such as "Purple Soup" and "Penguins" while a journalist took some pictures of us! They're writing an article on CISV, so yeah! We'll be famous! After a couple of more games we went to the gym and played "Cross the river", where we had to work as a team to win the game. Then we had free time and headed to the Dining Hall.
For lunch we had some very tasty sausages and potatoes, and then candy and ice cream from the JC shop.

Activity 2 was USA National Night (Afternoon). They told us a a little about how they celebrate the 4th of July back home and invited us to celebrate with them playing some picnic games, it was looooots of fun! They also gave us some goodie bags with delicious candy.
After shower, we had some hamburgers and Maccaroni and cheese for dinner, as part of the US Independence Day celebration. And for dessert rice krispies treats!
For Activity 3 we played a different verison of "Capture the flag" and then discussed a little about the activity with our teams.

After snack and flag time we headed to the auditorium for lullabies. At 10 we went back to our rooms, and just like every night, all the leaders, Jcs and staffies came to say goodnight to us. LIGHTS OUT!

------------------------------

LIGHTS OUT!

  3. Hello everyone, sounds great! The pics are also so nice that I'd like to suggest you'll send some to the CISV Finland's magazine CISVARI for the next issue coming out in the autumn.
When sending the photos, please include the name of the photographer, the names of the people in the picture and some words about the situation/activity the foto was taken at.
Could the staff help me with this? I'll get back to you.
